Last November 19, Threadfest, an event that has been promoting original art, music, and independent clothing brands in the Philippines since 2010, was held at B-side, The Collective at Makati. The event featured merchandise from indie clothing brands well as performances from established veterans and up-and-coming bands. Even though it poured heavily on the first few hours, that did not stop people from coming to the event. The traffic and the rain was all worth it because the audience were treated to an awesome night of clothing and music. Legendary performances from legendary bands capped the night and entertained everyone who came from all parts of the country. The Manila audience surely knows how to appreciate and support their local brands and musicians and was on full display during this year’s Threadfest.
We are honored to be one of the media partners forThreadfest Manila 2016. It’s amazing to see firsthand the love that the people from the Capital show towards clothing brands and musicians from the South.
Most of all, a big hand to everyone who came and showed that the rain and traffic can never dampen an awesome night of local, homegrown music and clothing festival. You are the ones who keep the local indie culture alive with your love and support.
